About Clinical Audit Compass
Clinical Audit Compass is a clinician-led digital platform designed to help healthcare professionals capture real clinical work as audit, CPD, and reflective evidence, without adding unnecessary admin or disrupting patient care.
Across healthcare, clinicians are expected to evidence learning, quality improvement, and governance activity for appraisal, revalidation, and professional development. Yet many existing tools sit apart from day-to-day clinical decision-making, forcing reflection and audit to become retrospective, time-consuming tick-box exercises.
Clinical Audit Compass was built to change that.
The platform provides a structured, governance-aligned framework that reflects how clinicians actually work. It supports the logging of clinical activity, pathways, prescribing, outcomes, audits, and reflections in a way that is mapped to scope of practice, professional role, and regulatory expectations.
Rather than generating artificial learning, Clinical Audit Compass focuses on capturing genuine clinical practice, turning everyday decisions into meaningful, defensible evidence.

Meet the Founder – Nathan Thomson

Clinical Audit Compass was created by Nathan Thomson, an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner with extensive frontline experience and a strong interest in clinical governance, education, and professional development.
Throughout his career, Nathan has worked across a range of clinical environments and professional groups, seeing first-hand how difficult it can be for clinicians to organise clinical logs, CPD, audits, and reflections in a way that genuinely reflects real practice.
Driven by this experience, Nathan is building Clinical Audit Compass to support clinicians at every stage of their career, from student to consultant, providing a practical, credible way to evidence learning, growth, and clinical impact with confidence.
